THANK YOU

It is exactly 9:58 tonight as I type this, watching and taking notice as to how 2005 is acting up in its waning and dying moments. I look out the window and remember Lennon, Another year over, he immortally says, and I relate it to 2005, bless its father-soul, as it waits while a New One (just) or is about to begin.

Before it reaches rigor mortis - the stiffness completed by the popular dropping of a crystal ball somewheres - I need to beat time this time. Thus as year ender, while I talk to my big boss on the phone to discuss the future, I deem it appropriate to thank all wonderful people who, in this year 2005, came to visit my blog and say a word or 2, a sentence or 2, and in some instances a paragraph or 2, to enlighten my dark hours even if, truth be told, they could have better used time spent on other, nobler, things.

In return (as in Accounting where all returns indicate payback to the higher State), I wish to quote Matthea Harvey's verse in Introduction to the World (Sad Little Breathing Machine, Graywolf Press, 2004) to convey my gratitude to my 2005 visitors, my higher state, whom Harvey, as I direct it, refers to as "giant thoughts" in my Davidian midst.

Like thoughts,
the geniuses race through.

If you're lucky
after a number of
revolutions, you'll

feel something catch.

And so as 2005 comes to retire, let me collate all names, all noble names, who, with giant thoughts commented to my posts to argue, agree, acquiesce, debate and disagree - which somehow made my 2005 blogging a very memorable one.

Wherefore, as my way of saying thank you, allow me to print your lovely names one more time:
