LEARNING RUSSIAN
It is said that to learn a new language is to experience another life. This, my life, needs to be pumped up, and in the process I am going to study one of the greatest languages literature has ever known: Russian.
My aim, however, is no grander than the quote. I only wanted to read Anna Karenina and the poetry of Anna Akhmatova in their original Russian text.
I am giving myself a full year. One year from today, I hope to talk to you, Anatolya.

Hi, dropping by from Toni's page. It's really interesting to learn new language. As much I wanted to learn french first, I have to know Arabic first because of my location. Best of luck!

hi witsi, thanks for the vitsi. yay, arabic sounds interesting, too. i was reading this morning kurt vonnegut's man without a country, and he said americans do not appreciate arabic too much - and then he posed the challenge: try division using roman numerals.
best of luck din.
